Oh yes folks, my life truly has become that exciting that the purchase of a new anorak in which to dig is the highlight! Help! I also got a new bag to stuff all my clothes in, sod holdalls give me
a nice canvas bag any day of the week. It's awesome and I'm quickly discovering that it in fact has Tardis like properties. Fantastic. I also have more drink that I'll ever stomach, but when you're
all living in each other's pockets in the middle of no where that's never a bad thing.Got back from Cornwall at stupid o'clock last night and will be back off to the dig tomorrow eve. Hopefully
after I manage to scrounge a roast dinner of off someone who loves me. Fingers crossed. What else is there to say? Sorry things have been quiet, but what with living in a field and only occasionally
running back and forth it's hard to keep up to date. Will try to do a better job of it though!

How is it that I can spend a week in the middle of a trench pulling up rusty Roman nails etc. and not get so much as a scratch. Even when we all decided to turn our hand to flint napping after
staggering back from the pub on Thursday. Then I spend one day back at home and I've sliced open my hand. How? How does that work?At least at home there's less chance of getting wonderful
Tetanus.Time Team are visiting the site tomorrow. *snark* I wonder how much of Mike's 9 years of working there they can take the glory for? It does mean we're going to have to hide the OA jackets
that everyone has 'borrowed' from the unit at one point or another. Fingers crossed the weather will be reasonably good and we won't need them.Just waiting for the tumble drier to finish before I
can pack up my nice clean clothes and head back to the site. It was good getting back on the 'net and catching up on a weeks worth of news in the real world.

It has been a painful, restless, sleep filled day. You see, today I gave myself a concussion. Yes, though it pains me to admit it, I actually concussed myself on the corner of a cabinet door. But
worry not folks, it was only a mild one according to the nice doctor. Yeh, just a mild ear ringing, nauseous, ever so tired one.On the plus side it's nothing like the last time I almost killed
myself by falling off that bloody horse. No memory loss. No blackouts. No split skulls. No 'an inch lower and you'd be dead'. I'll take the headache over that thank-you-ever-so-much any day of the
week!Anyway, whilst lying around feeling sorry for myself and cursing A&E waiting times, I have planned out a Jack-centric Alias story, scribbled drabbles over half a dozen napkins, and decided
that I really, *really* need to start putting the Wessex presentation together. She stood alone, surrounded by people. Her tears fell freely now, silent sobs wracking her trembling frame. The body
had been taken away long ago, but still she couldn't move. How could she possibly move on so quickly? The world still swam; her feet felt heavy like lead but her head was lighter than air. Lost
amongst strangers she struggled to picture the faces of her friends now gone. Their faces caught in frozen glimpses before they were torn from her sight. Tom's shy smile. Zoe's pale face in the
stand. Danny gone. Ruth stood alone, surrounded by strangers. Also finished 'I am Legend' and was blown away. I don't think I've read a whole book like that since having to study Hamlet. Just means
I no longer have anything to read. Thus, any and all recommendations are welcome folks! Can make any promises that I won't have read them already, but I'd still like to hear what's good.So tell me
what to read!

I've spent a freakishly long amount of time doing this poxy bloody stupid music quiz; name that group. Staring at tiny little photo's of bands. 270 of them! I've named 185 of them and now it's just
becoming painful. Must name them all and rub it in Pip's face since she's making me suffer! In other news am loving the feedback on spooky_doings. The fact that it all seems to be pretty good is an
uber bonus. Muchos encouragement to actually *finish* some of the fic that's been rotting these last weeks on my harddrive. There's also an icon of the day, made from one of the caps that hestia8
sent me. But PSP's having issues at the moment so I'll put that up tomorrow. Must be Han's slave for the next week or so for the caps :) Grr back to the bands thing 'o doom!
